January 19 - 24, 2015
Season:
Winter
Technique:
Glassblowing
Level:

One-Week Session

Using colored rods, powders, frits, and techniques such as color overlaying and cane making, we will create combinations of graphic patterns and experiment with integrated color schemes. These patterns will then be used to produce spheres. The instructor will demonstrate his hot glass-relevant color theory, and you will have the opportunity to apply these methodical color systems in your work. Although The Studio will provide a variety of color bar, you should bring an ample supply of color bar, frit, and powder with which you would like to work. Color must be compatible with Spruce Pine batch, COE 96. One year of glassblowing experience is required.
