In this class, students will have the opportunity to explore basic forms in glass as a way of learning fundamental skills. The class will break down basic forms into a series of systematic, manageable steps to allow students to learn basic skills, including heating and timing. Students will work together to learn the teamwork skills necessary when assisting another glassmaker. Demonstrations will cover a range of processes. Problem solving will be emphasized and students are encouraged to bring in images and/or drawings of forms on which they are interested in working. Some glassblowing experience is required.
