From Papier-Mâché to Pâte de Verre
Paper-thin pâte de verre is a new approach to produce pieces with thin walls in a very simple way and in a short time by creating handmade glass-paper and using sand as molding material. In this class, students will be exposed to a range of different methods using recyclable materials such as paper, glass, and sand to create works of art, learn various methods to produce glass frits and powder and use them in their work, as well as using sand blasting for finishing and creating texture. No glassworking experience is required.
