This class will improve your hot-shop skills and bring your work to the next level. The class will further develop your knowledge of working glass with a smarter mindset by addressing basic forms and explaining the necessary steps to reach specific goals. You will develop a deeper understanding of the material and a more practical approach to glassworking. We will explore efficiency, timing, and order of operations through exercises and examples. Sketching forms prior to sitting at the bench will be encouraged. Problem solving and teamwork will be emphasized in order to create blown and sculptural forms. One year of glassworking experience is required.
