In this workshop, you will learn how to create floral glass beads using precise application of surface embellishment. Emphasis will be placed on design, color blending, and flame control. Class projects will utilize component canes to create realistic flowers, leaves, and branches. We will learn how to make an interchangeable glass ring top and perfect a variety of bead shapes.

We will work extensively with palladium, gold and copper leaf, silver mesh, silver foil, handmade frit, and dichroic glass to create backdrops for our floral creations. Traditional flameworking techniques of feathering, latticino cane composition, and clear casing will be thoroughly explored. Some flameworking experience is required.
