Dan Dailey

Dailey’s brilliance of invention and technique can be confidently traced back to its origins in his hard-nosed loyalty to the fantasy world of his early years, which can best be described as an admixture of two traditions: his dad’s industrial design aesthetic and a kind of Art Crumb funk of 1950s counterculture. —Henry Geldzahler
