2300°: Girlfriends

Enjoy an evening of girlfriends, glassblowing, and making music. (Boyfriends invited too!) Free and open to the public.

Glassblowing Demonstration by Robin Cass
Watch Rochester artist and RIT professor Robin Cass create sculptural works in glass. Inspired in part by Rudolf and Leopold Blaschka, Cass' most recent work, Curious Growths, consists of "tangled clusters of fleshy formations that evoke botanical or zoological specimens."

Live Music by Bronwen Exter, Jennifer Middaugh, and The Grady Girls
It’s a night to celebrate talented female vocalists. Bronwen Exter will treat us to her “warm, all-enveloping voice” (The New Yorker). Exter fronts a band that ranges “from the spare to the bombastic, the whimsical to the funereal.” The Grady Girls and Jennifer Middaugh will also perform.

Hot Food and Cold Drinks Round Out the Night
Complimentary hors d’oeuvres and soft drinks are available. Heartier fare is also available for purchase.

Free shuttle bus service from the Museum’s I-86 parking lot is available.
