Conversation with David Whitehouse: Object Investigation – A Detective Story

Have you ever wondered how scholars and curators figure out the histories behind the objects in a collection?  Dr. Whitehouse will take you into his world of research and investigation and share the stories behind the glass. Objects for discussion will include the Populonia Bottle [62.1.31], the Hedwig Beaker [67.1.11], and the medieval bottle [89.3.12].

The Museum’s Conversations lecture series is exclusively for Ennion Society Members and Museum Members at the Supporting and Patron levels ($250+).

The Conversations  series is comprised of engaging and informative one-hour talks presented in an intimate, informal setting. Enjoy a short presentation by Museum staff and other experts and then ask questions and join in the discussion.

Space is limited to 30 participants and an RSVP is required by Wednesday, April 10. Please contact membership@cmog.org or call 607.438.5600 to RSVP.

Presentations take place in The Studio’s Lecture Room (across the parking lot from the Museum’s main building). The Conversations last one hour.  Coffee will be served.
