Families Explore: Science

Did you know you can extract DNA from a strawberry? Learn how with representatives from the Wings of Eagles at this fun, hands-on event. Representatives from the Southeast Steuben County Library will demonstrate their 3-D printer from 12-2 pm. Drive a robot with area robotics teams, watch a live demo by the Chemung County Stormwater Coalition, and learn about the Science of Slime with the Society of Women Engineers. Make a periscope and spectroscope (rainbow-scope), learn about careers in science, and much more.

  • Activities are included in Museum Admission.
  • Kids and teens, 19 and under, receive free admission to the Museum. Parents, check out our discounts, including the $6 resident rate, to enjoy the entire Family Exploration series at an affordable price.
