Holiday Break Activities

Activities for all ages. Included in the cost of admission.

Make the Museum part of your holiday tradition! Take your family’s picture in front of our 14-foot ornament tree or giant glass snowmen. Get in the holiday spirit by going on a Winter Wonders Gallery Hunt. Enjoy a Hot Glass Show, and submit your drawing to You Design It; We Make It for a chance to have your design made by one of our gaffers (included in Museum admission). Enjoy extended Make Your Own Glass hours (fee) and make a glass ornament or snowman. Please note that the Museum is closed December 24 and 25, and January 1.

Current Exhibitions
Visit our two exhibitions, René Lalique: Enchanted by Glass and Designing for a New Century: Works on Paper by Lalique and his Contemporaries (open through January 4, 2015).

Glassmaking Demos
Watch as expert glassmakers transform molten glass into beautiful objects at the live, narrated Hot Glass Shows. Don’t miss the Flameworking and Glassbreaking Demos. All demonstrations take place in the Innovation Center area, giving you a truly in-depth look at how glass is made.

You Design It; We Make It!
Submit a drawing of something you’d like to see come alive in glass. At select Hot Glass Shows throughout the day, glassmakers will choose a drawing and make that piece from start to finish.

Make Your Own Glass Ornaments, Snowmen, and Pendants
Add a one-of-a-kind memory to your tree with a Make Your Own Glass ornament, or Victorian-style ornament. Christmas tree and snowmen sculptures help to make the season and your home bright. Or wear your holiday cheer with a snowman or Christmas tree pendant. Other projects are available as well. Book online today.
