Auditorium
|
July 26, 2017 11:00am to 12:00pm
Catskill Puppet Theater at Little Gather

Free and open to the public.

Introduce little ones to the Museum through this popular free summer program.

This musical nature-tale with Catskill Puppet Theater features lots of audience participation. You’ll join forces with Mother Nature to save the day when Sister Rain becomes jealous of Brother Sun and stops watering the Earth. The show includes lively original music, colorful sets and costumes, and large, animated puppets like: Brother Sun, a huge, talking sun face 7-feet in diameter with movable mouth and eyes; Mother Nature, a grizzled old wise-woman covered with vines; Farmer McGreedy, a crafty old hillbilly; Little Bear; and the beautiful, glistening Sister Rain!

The Southeast Steuben County Library will be at every show with theme-related books and an activity.

9:30 am show for groups (reservations required)
11:00 am show for the general public

After Little Gather, wander through the galleries and see if you can find objects that remind you of the characters in the show. What kinds of objects would each character want to own? Admission to the Museum is free for kids; additional charge for adults. Local residents in the 148, 149, and 169 ZIP codes receive discounted admission with ID.

Contact littlegather@cmog.org or +1 (607) 438-5429 to make group reservations or if you have questions.
