Admission for kids and teens (17 and under) is always free, and local residents (living in ZIP codes beginning with 148, 149, or 169) can visit for just $9, making the full line-up of events and activities an affordable option for families of all sizes.

Feb. 14 – Kids Collect
Try out our new “Kids Top Ten” as you hunt down the entire set of museum cards in the galleries.
Feb. 15 – Sugar Show 1
Ever wonder what sugar and glass have in common? You’d be surprised!
Feb. 16 – Sugar Show 2
A show so sweet, we had to repeat!
Feb. 17 – Match Game
Take a picture to make a match between objects at the Rakow Research Library and the Museum’s glass collection.
Feb. 18 – Clay Play
Explore special clay that allows you to create glass designs without burning your hands!
Feb. 19 – What’s the Use?
Play detective and uncover uses for all things glass.
Feb. 20 – Light Mosaics
Learn the magic of polarized light to make a colorful mosaic.
Feb. 21 – Mirror Maze
Learn the secrets of reflection to steer the path of a laser light.
Feb. 22 – Marvelous Marbles
Learn to shoot marbles, to play marble games, and explore marble collections.

Make Your Own Glass
Enjoy extended Make Your Own Glass hours. Try your hand at glassmaking (additional fee). Projects exist for all ages. We recommend booking ahead of time.
You Design It; We Make It!
Submit a drawing of something you’d like to see come alive in glass. At select Hot Glass Demos throughout the day, glassmakers will choose a drawing and make that piece from start to finish..
Watch as expert glassmakers transform molten glass into beautiful objects at the live, narrated Hot Glass Demos. Don’t miss the Flameworking, Glassbreaking, and Optical Fiber Demos. All demonstrations take place in the Innovation Center area and are included in the cost of admission.
