Guest Services Department Internship

The Corning Museum of Glass is seeking an intern to assist our Guest Services department during the summer of 2012. 

The Guest Services department is responsible for providing outstanding customer service to Museum visitors, helping to ensure all guests have a positive and memorable experience.

Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the Guest Services Manager the intern will be responsible for the following: 

  • updating the staff training manual
  • assisting with the museum brochure process
  • providing information about the Museum and the surrounding area to visitors
  • reviewing facility signage and guest traffic patterns
  • offering suggestions to enhance the guest experience
  • assisting at the Guest Services desk

Qualifications

Interns will be asked to work a minimum of 24 hours per week, with some occasional evening and weekend hours as requested.  Flexible start and end date.

This is an unpaid internship and designed for individuals with an interest in the hospitality industry.
