Classes

Classes

Studio classes are offered year-round, in a variety of techniques, for all skill levels and are taught by top international glassmaking artists and instructors. With a staff that's passionate about glass and helps to take care of all your needs while you are here, you'll find it easy to concentrate on learning all you can about glass during your time in Corning.

Spring and fall class registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. If a class is full you can add yourself to a waiting list. As space opens, we will contact you. Experience has shown that we do receive cancellations and people do get into classes from waiting lists.

Summer and winter class are filled by a lottery process. Applications must be received by March 15 for summer classes and October 15 for winter classes. There is a non-refundable application fee of $20 to apply for up to two classes and $10 for each additional class. After the lottery process, if spaces are still available they will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If a class is oversubscribed, you will be placed on a waiting list. We do receive cancellations and people do get into classes from waiting lists. If a space opens we will contact you immediately.

We will notify you by email by March 30 for summer classes and October 30 for winter classes of your class status. Full payment must be received by May 1 for summer classes and December 1 for winter classes.

After May 1 and December 1, when all payments have been made, we know if a class still has openings. We encourage you to contact us by email at classes@cmog.org or by phone at +1 (607) 438-5100 after these dates to see if there are still openings and before applying. Submitting an application requires an application fee. Experience has shown that we receive cancellations and people do get into classes from waiting lists.

Besides a lot of hands-on learning, classes at The Studio offer a lot of special opportunities just for students. Here is a list of some favorite things to do while a Studio student.

Age restrictions apply.
