Rob Cassetti offers a review of the architectural history of the original Corning Glass Center and The Corning Museum of Glass. The original Corning Glass Center was designed by Harrison and Abramovitz of New York City, and built in 1951. The Museum was designed by Gunnar Birkets and completed in 1980. The newly remodeled Glass Center was designed by Smith-Miller + Hawkinson.
