Dr. Brill introduces some of the information gleaned from the museum's involvement with some glassmakers in Afghanistan, whose methods in 1977 were essentially the same as that used in ancient times, and shows the film "Glassmakers of Herat". His lecture is followed by Jane Spilman's who presents a brief history of the 18th-19th c. American glass industry and techniques. The last lecture is presented by Susanne Frantz whose lecture focuses on glass artists of the last 100 years.
