First sketch is of a man's head and torso, posed as if leaning on his right arm, with the left arm outstretched holding a stick. Sketch includes closer views of the man's hands. Sketchbook includes 4 p. of sketches of men and women followed by 6 leaves of sketches of vases (last one labeled crown imperial) and 2 leaves of botanical designs. Only 20 pages were used; the remainder of the pages are blank.
