Notes
Design for glass bottle that, when broken, will give way to a pile of tiles that can be made into something else. Included is an image of a bottle with grid-like design and numerous images of inspirations for tile shapes.
Tim Dubitsky collaborated with gaffers Chris Rochelle and Dane Jack August 14-15, 2012 during his time at GlassLab at The Corning Museum of Glass; these design drawings were not turned into glass or the glass was not kept.
This is Dubitsky's third time at GlassLab.
Dubitsky works at Artesea in Hawi, Hawaii. His awards include the New York University Award for Excellence in the Visual Arts in 2000, and the 2002 Visual Harlem Grant from the Jacob Lawrence Foundation.
GlassLab provides an opportunity for designers and glassmakers to collaborate by using hot glass as a catalyst for innovation.
