Notes
Design drawing for egg-shaped glass object that curves in at four points with top that can be removed. Central figure is of whole object; below is sketch of object in two pieces, with top lying beside base.
"Clear" --
penciled in on upper right corner.
Chris and Dominic Leong collaborated with gaffers Eric Meek, Adam Holtzinger, and Chris Rochelle July 1 and 14, 2012 during their time at GlassLab at Governors Island; this design drawing was not turned into glass or the glass was not kept.
The Leong brothers founded Leong Leong Architecture, a New York-based design office practicing in the fields of architecture and culture, in 2009. They believe that the practice of architecture gains relevance through a constant dialogue with other disciplines, cultures, thinkers, and makers.
GlassLab provides an opportunity for designers and glassmakers to collaborate by using hot glass as a catalyst for innovation.
