Notes:
Designs are mounted side by side on white board; dimensions of board are 36 x 50 cm.
Design on left is of blue, white, and clear vase, deeply cut; a band of large, oval shapes surround upper portion of vase. Design on right is of blue, white, and clear vase, deeply cut, with classic architectural references.
Signed in pencil by artist on lower right corner of each design.
White, square label affixed to lower right corner of verso; "Fonds Chambon" stamped lightly in black ink on label and "3" written in black ink also on label.
"Dessins de Jacquemotte" -- written in black ink on lower left corner of verso, along left edge. "Fonds Chambon" stamped in black ink directly below and "3" written in black ink below that.
This design was formerly cataloged as part of a trade catalog, BIB 55482, made up of 79 original drawings for vases, lighting fixtures, lampshades, and candlesticks; these designs, most of which are anonymous, had been assembled and mounted by R. Chambon. The named artists include Leon Ledru, Lucien Jacquemotte, Rene Delvenne, Joseph Simon, Henry van de Velde, Muller Frères, and Renard.
Digitized by Boston Photo Imaging April 2013.
Lower right corner of design on right is torn, directly through Jacquemotte's signature.
Onion skin papers are coming loose from board.
