Notes
Design drawing includes eight alternative bell jar prototypes with different shapes for domes and stems. Design was drawn on two adjoining yellow pages of graphing notebook.
Jason Miller collaborated with gaffers Annette Sheppard and G. Brian Juk June 5-6, 2012 during his time at GlassLab at The Corning Museum of Glass. The glass object that may have resulted from one of eight images is GL241.
Miller founded Roll & Hill, a New York City-based manufacturer of high-end contemporary lighting by international designers. He was named Designer of the Year in 2010 by the Brooklyn Museum. He designs furniture, lighting fixtures, household products, and interiors.
GlassLab provides an opportunity for designers and glassmakers to collaborate by using hot glass as a catalyst for innovation.
