Photograph is of Dominick Labino playing the glass harmonica, probably in his studio.
Labino studied the glass harmonica, or armonica, and reproduced tuned glass bowls for historical instruments at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and at The Corning Museum of Glass. He went on to build his own harmonica and other glass musical instruments that his wife would play for visitors.
