"Rudolf Blaschka created detailed drawings during field work in Jamaica and the United States that served as the basis for many of the models that were produced for Harvard's Glass Flowers collection. This lecture discusses two of his field expeditions (1892 and 1895) by tracing his ambitious itinerary, discussing his impressions as a field botanist and tourist, and presenting some of the problems he and his field partners encountered along the way"--Seminar brochure.
