Image of five glass objects used to prototype design concepts; objects include toothbrush holder cup, bowl with slot for cell phone charger, toilet paper jar, candlestick and match holder, and abstract flower vase. The toothbrush holder cup, bowl with slot for cell phone charger, and toilet paper jar were each made into glass objects at GlassLab.
Owen collaborated with gaffer Chris Rochelle May 29-30, 2012 during his time at GlassLab at The Corning Museum of Glass. The glass objects that resulted from this image are GL191, GL192, and GL193.
Owen is a designer and educator; he owns design studio Josh Owen LLC in Rochester, NY (formerly Philadelphia, PA) and designs furniture, products, lighting, and spaces.
GlassLab provides an opportunity for designers and glassmakers to collaborate by using hot glass as a catalyst for innovation.
