Dark blue cloth covered notebook with paper spine cover with red cross hatches. Notebook used from both ends: "Good depositing solution" (24 leaves) in pencil on one end, "NH4Cl Ammonium Chloride" (11 leaves) in ink on the opposite end. 56 leaves in between are blank.
Notes, calculations and equations. Includes information on copper, iron and ferric compounds, calcium, barium, phosphorous, and acids. Carder also writes about tests for an unknown substance and his findings.
