One of a series of interviews with individuals offering their own personal accounts and relationship with glass.
Interviewed by Regan Brumagen during the first annual GlassFest in Corning, NY, May 27-30, 2010, organized in part by Corning's Gaffer District.
Joint interview with Jerry and Jinny Wright who moved to Corning, NY, in 1958. Jerry was hired as a Product Designer for Corning Glass Works and designed the first electric kitchen appliances made of Pyroceram: the percolator and skillet. Both Jerry and Jinny talk about the flood of 1972 (Hurricane Agnes) and some of their memories from that time. They both reminisce about Jerry's employment at Corning Glass Works and Jinny's at the library, The Corning Museum of Glass; and their involvement in the Corning community.

Jerry Wright is the former archivist for Corning Incorporated; and his wife, Jinny Wright, is a former librarian at The Rakow Library, The Corning Museum of Glass. Born June 23rd and 24th, 1932 (respectively), in Minneapolis, St. Paul, Minneosta.
