Although the film is intended as an introduction to the Degenhart Paperweight and Glass Museum, it is also a summary of glassmaking in the Cambridge, Ohio area. Photos of workers, factories, maps, and trade catalog pages are used to document the history of old factories, and exterior and interior shots show currently operating factories. Of interest are some of the techniques illustrated: cutting, use of molds and a pressing machine to make laboratory ware, pressing of novelty items, making mold blown lamps, and paperweights.
