Notes
Design drawing includes two images, an image of a glycerin bubble reflecting light against black background and a diagram with two views of bubble blower made from glass with wand attached to opening in glass sphere.
Eric Ku collaborated with gaffers Eric Meek and Chris Rochelle June 30-July 1, 2012 during his time at GlassLab at Governors Island. The glass object that resulted from this design drawing is GL 219.
Ku partnered in 2010 with designer Alex Merto to found Graphiatrist, a Brooklyn based multi-disciplinary design studio. He began working at the New York-based digital marketing agency, Noise New York, in 2011, where he works on branding, editorial, and website and app designs. He won the 55th Annual Type Director's Club Annual Competition award in 2009, the 2010 "20 under 30 New Visual Artists" award by Print Magazine, and a 46th Annual Society of Publication Designers' Merit Award in 2011.
GlassLab provides an opportunity for designers and glassmakers to collaborate by using hot glass as a catalyst for innovation.
