Firm name is not indicated on this catalog, but the trademark of A.M.S. is found throughout. OCLC record incorrectly attributes this catalog to A.M.S. Firm. This trademark is actually the trademark of Silber and Fleming. The initials stand for the co-founder, Albert Marcius Silber.
Catalog is not dated, however indicates that Silber Light Company was awarded the "First Order of Merit" in Melbourne, in 1881 for their chandeliers. A water filter on p. 40, bears a label indicating Silber & Fleming was established in 1856. Other sources indicate that the Silber Light Company changed their name to Silber & Fleming Ltd. around 1885, and lasted in business until 1897 or 1898.
