Mrs. T.E. O'Brien shares her memories regarding the glass cutting shops in Corning, NY: J. Hoare & Co., T.G. Hawkes & Co., H.P. Sinclaire & Co., Eggington & Company, Mullford's, George W. Drake, Thomas Hunt & Co., Almy & Thomas. She indicates that much of the glass blanks used by these shops was purchased from Dorflinger, heavier blanks were purchased from Corning Glass Works. Much of her recollections are from the years in which she was secretary for Mr. H.P. Sinclaire.
Estelle Sinclaire joins Mary Dow Canfield for a casual conversation/interview regarding cut glass pieces she owns, made by H.P. Sinclaire. One of the vases she owns was rescued from the 1904 fire at the Sinclaire shop. Clyde Hauff joins the conversation which ends abruptly after 8 minutes. The remaining part of this interview continues onto a different audio cassette which begins with 5 min. of an unrelated recording.
