Part of a group of letters written 1877-1880 between John Northwood I and Josiah Wedgwood & Sons, during which time Northwood polished the pottery editions of the Portland Vase.
Letter apologizes for complaint received about pottery copy of Portland Vase; Northwood promises to make a journey to London or elsewhere so that the complaint can be shown to him so that he may correct it.
