Part of a group of letters written 1877-1880 between John Northwood I and Josiah Wedgwood & Sons, during which time Northwood polished the pottery editions of the Portland Vase.
Letter from Gaye Blake Roberts, Curator of The Wedgwood Museum, to Dwight P. Lanmon, explains that after a thorough search, the accompanying xerox reproductions are the only manuscripts by Northwood in Wedgwood's collection.
