Description from vendor: "Copper engraving, in contemporary outline color, when published. In the upper left corner decorative figurative title cartouche, in the lower right corner a large mileage scale. A decorative map of Europe by the Dutch cartographers Petrus Schenk and Gerard Valck. Europe is shown pretty accurate, the outline colors show the political borders. On the map are many cities, smaller place names, rivers, mountains, etc. engraved. A carefully old mended tear at the centerfold. Oldcolored copy, with the typical oxidations in the green and brown colors, as often found on maps by Schenk & Valck. The paper verso expertly & skillfully rebacked with thin japan rize paper."
