Three drawings in all. First drawing includes eleven views, mostly of interior of plant with two views that feature petals; also included is one cross section. Some views are detailed in color including yellow, orange, and green. Second and third drawings folded along vertical edge with one drawing on p.  and another drawing on p. . Drawing on p.  includes seven views of interior parts of plant, including one cross section. Most views are colored in pink, green, and yellow. Drawing on p.  includes four views of interior parts of plant, two of which are cross sections. Yellow and green details are colored in.
Each of the three drawings is labeled by title name along lower edge; the upper portion of first drawing is also labeled Odontoglossum vexillarium.
At least one small, red circle is penciled in on each drawing.
This flowering plant, commonly known as the cat's claw, is native to Mexico. The Odontoglossum vexillarium, or Miltoniopsis vexillaria, is an orchid commonly known as the Flag-Like Miltoniopsis and is native to parts of Central and South America.

This drawing is part of a series of botanical drawings created by the Blaschkas to reference in constructing glass models for the Botanical Museum of Harvard University.
