(a) Conical shape with wide top; thick-walled body with broad, flat, sharply articulated shoulder with narrow lipless opening into small, conical interior bubble, body tapers to narrow base, ground flat, ground pontil; inscribed "A. Magdanz 84" on bottom of base. (b) Thick-walled, inset, conical lid with pointed top, no flange, sits atop wider shoulder of "1"; overall surfaces wheel- cut and acid-polished to give satin finish.
