Part of a group of letters written 1877-1880 between John Northwood I and Josiah Wedgwood & Sons, during which time Northwood polished the pottery editions of the Portland Vase.
Memo warns that a portion of pottery copy of Portland Vase sent to Northwood for polishing is flawed and would break off if polished.
