Description in CMoG glass object database: Colorless, metallic silver; lead glass, Rhodium plated brass, UV adhesive (Loctite #49); cast, diamond sawn, cut, ground, polished, fabricated metal, assembled with UV adhesive. Solid, narrow, horizontal glass body topped with metal candle holder strip; glass is roughly hemispherical in profile with thickened center, two broad sides, each cut into two flat equal sized facets narrowing in thickness from center vertical line to curved sides, top is flat elongated diamond shape, narrow sides thicken towards base which is cut flat; overall polished surface; inset from glass edge and laminated along center of top surface is a long, low, squared strip of metal (with slightly inset base), topped with nine small equally spaced low circular cylinders with extended and flattened rims, center cylinder is approximately one third taller in height with a double rim; engraved in script on narrow side near top (at right angle): "Steuben/Joel A. Smith 1995".
