Notes
Design concept, "inspired by ships in the bottle", with two images of "housing bubble" and descriptive text; one housing bubble has a red Monopoly house inside and the other bubble appears to have a bubble wand inside. "A round or oblong vessel turned up side down with a rubber or cork plug. A small item can be placed inside of the smallest bubble changing this work into a funny object or a serious statement."
Alesina collaborated with gaffers Chris Rochelle, Annette Sheppard, Jason Minami, and Adam Holtzinger July 21-22, 2012 during her time at GlassLab at Governors Island; this image was not turned into a piece of glass or the piece of glass was not kept.
Alesina is a designer and founded Alesina Design Inc., based in the Baltimore area, in 1996.
GlassLab provides an opportunity for designers and glassmakers to collaborate by using hot glass as a catalyst for innovation.
