One of the Notebooks of Frederick Carder.
Black cover with gold edging and marbled endpapers. Only 23 leaves have been used. Title page includes sketches of 3 heads (1 woman, 2 men) from the back left side and very faint beginnings of sketches of 3 others.
Diary describing Carder's trip, with entries dated between August 22-31. Includes his impressions on the city, its architecture and art.
