Bound catalog with card stock pages, mounted on tabs.
Presumably a perfume salesman's catalog with images of water colour over lithographed bottle forms with original labels pasted in place. Some have original gold foiled labels applied to the neck of the bottles.
Includes 6 additional bottle images placed in a plastic sleeve, and an additional set of loose labels including a label with "Bouquet souvenir de l'exposition de 1878, L.T. Piver a Paris".
Previous owner indicates that many of the images appear to have been cut from one or two master trade catalogues; and offered a suggested date of the album as [1830-1880]. Suggested dates were revised when 12 of the images in this album were identified through the Museu del Perfum. Ten perfumes were introduced in 1886, and 2 in 1890.
Although not identified in this catalog, both Lalique and Baccarat are known to have provided glass perfume bottles for L.T. Piver. Lalique probably began providing bottles for Piver around 1910-1920.
Includes perfume bottles and labels, creams, lotions, soaps, and more.
