"Making of Steuben Glass, Corning Glass Center, Corning, New York; a "gaffer", or master glass blower, fashions a crystal bowl by the ancient freehand method at the Steuben Glass Factory" -- on verso.
C. 1 includes brief note from Annabelle to her mother, Bertha Nichols: "Have just gone through this big factory and saw the man making this bowl. Was very interesting to watch. C. 1 is postmarked 1970 and dated "Oct. 11, 1970". "Identified as Zig Johnson by Norm Hultzman" -- written in blank ink on verso of c. 1.
