Catalog is not dated, but definitely prior to 1915, as p. 4 illustrates "official souvenir [sterling silver pencils and spoons] adopted by the Panama-Pacific International Exposition company - exact reproduction of the spade used by William Howard Taft president of the United States in turning the first spadeful of earth for the Panama-Pacific Internation Exposition to be held in San Francisco, 1915." The Presidential seal is at the handle and the inscription reads: "Used by William Howard Taft, President of the United States, October 14, 1911-in turning the first spadeful of earth for the Panama Pacific International Exposition to be held in San Francisco, 1915."
