Design drawing includes eight diagrams for various types of kicks, or indents, in the base of vases; most diagrams are accompanied by brief notations.
Tom Zogas and Dan Ipp collaborated with gaffers Annette Sheppard and Katherine Ayres July 3-4, 2012 during their time at GlassLab at The Corning Museum of Glass. The glass object that resulted from one of these eight images is GL234.
In 2012, Zogas and Ipp won Metaproject 02, a Rochester Institute of Technology student design competition in collaboration with The Corning Museum of Glass.
GlassLab provides an opportunity for designers and glassmakers to collaborate by using hot glass as a catalyst for innovation.
