Notes
Design drawing includes text description, the potential words "sine qua non", and three sectional profiles for words "sine qua non". The text details that, if the vessel were to be cut, the cut would spell out words that appear to be hand-written.
Helen Lee collaborated with gaffers Eric Meek and Chris Rochelle July 7-8, 2012 during her time at GlassLab at Governors Island. The glass object that resulted from this design drawing is GL222; the words that make up this vessel are "pen", "man", and "ship".
Lee is an artist, designer, educator, and glassblower currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
GlassLab provides an opportunity for designers and glassmakers to collaborate by using hot glass as a catalyst for innovation.
