Using material in the Flint Glass Workers Union archives, Mr. Parker covers working conditions for early glass workers, benefits, output, summer stop, and Labor Day parades beginning with 1878 through 1930. His slides show mold-making shops, furnaces, workers, and paste mold operations. He talks about the making of whimsies and friggers (paperweights, canes).
