Dr. Stefano Carboni lectures about Venetian glass made for the Near Eastern market, with an emphasis on enameled glass - either made for overseas markets or inspired by Islamic countries. Examples include the Aldrevandene beakers, mosque lamps, bottles made to commemorate weddings, cesendello lamps, and lamps ordered for the Ottoman Empire in the 1500s.
