Mr. Dimitroff is the author of a book on Carder Steuben glass. His lecture begins with a brief history of Murano glass, and then he demonstrates the influence of 15th-19th century Venetian glass on the glass designed by Carder for both Stevens & Williams, and Steuben. Carder's choice of color, shape, technique and decoration reflect the Venetian styles, and not the art nouveau era.
