Tour Enhancements

Here are some things to make your tour at The Corning Museum of Glass even better!

Hands-on Glassmaking

Your guests can experience glassworking and make their own glass souvenir in guided hands-on glassmaking experiences in a Fun with Glass experience. Pre-book a hands-on glassmaking session, and choose from an assortment of glass objects to make. (Additional fee)

All activities are for groups of 20 people or more, and can be customized by our professional staff according to the size of the group, ages of participants, and length of visit. All Fun with Glass experiences are to be reserved with a minimum of three-months notice and there is a per person fee for each experience.

Sandblast Glass

Sandblast Glass

Create frosted designs on drinking glasses, plates and more. Appropriate for all ages. Great for children.

Adds 1.5 hours to visit


Form a Flower or Ornament

Form a Flower or Ornament

Work with molten glass to blow a holiday ornament or form a beautiful flower. Ornaments appropriate for all ages. Flowers appropriate for ages 12 and up.

Adds 2 hours to visit


Fuse a Suncatcher

Fuse a Suncatcher

Layer glass sheets to make a colorful suncatcher. Appropriate for all ages. Great for children.

Adds 1 hour to visit


Timing is critical to the success of these activities. Group leaders and/or escorts are requested to have their group report to the studio ten minutes before their scheduled activity.

All completed items will be ready for pick-up or shipping no later than 24 hours after the experience or as soon as 12:00 p.m. (noon) the next day. Shipping in the United States and Canada is available for a fee.

Cancellations are accepted up to two weeks before the event.

Dining Options

The Museum offers a variety of dining options at our two onsite eateries. Among your food choices are vegetarian options, regional wines and specialty entrees, salads and beverages - a variety of choices to fit all dining needs. Guests can dine on their own, use pre-purchased dining vouchers, or enjoy a pre-arranged meal.

Free Parking

Park once and let your guests explore three attractions. Park your bus in our lot and let your guests take a free shuttle bus to Corning's downtown historic Gaffer District and the Rockwell Museum of Western Art.

The Rockwell Museum of Western Art showcases the "Best of the West in the East."  Guests will see American Western and Native American art. Combination tickets are available to The Corning Museum of Glass and the Rockwell Museum of Western Art.

Finger Lakes Region
