Primary Description:
3 Fragments. (73.1.37-1) Colorless glass, with yellowish-brown tinge; bubbly, blowing spirals, stone; one patch of cracking iridescence; probably blown, enameled, gilded. Fragment preserves vessel wall of a bowl or mosque lamp; register of red and blue enamel lines around greatest diameter with a red enamel "fleur-de-lis" pattern on tapering underside of body, sections of this filled with red, white and blue enamel "relief" and gilt; (73.1.37-2) colorless glass, with yellowish-green tinge; bubbly, some thin iridescent film; blown, enameled, gilded. Fragment preserves globular vessel wall of unknown form; sketchy red enamel band contains small circular medallion with large V-shape design element intersecting entire register; all elements sketched with thin red enamel line, filled with blue enamel "relief" and gilt; (73.1.37-3) colorless glass, with greenish-yellow tinge; bubbly, with some stone; probably blown, enameled, gilded. Thick-walled fragment of unknown form; with thin red enamel line forming a foliate register with a possible human figure; red, white, and blue enamel "relief" lines elaborate register with some gilt decoration.
