Web Description: 
Spittoons were an important accessory in an age when pipe smoking was popular. The previously colorless lead glass has crizzled. A fragmentary seal with a raven’s head appears on the lower outside wall of the bowl.

Description

Primary Description: 
Spittoon. Colorless glass; mold-blown, applied seal. Vertical ribs cover both the squat globular lower section and the wide flaring upper section. Incompletely applied seal on the lower wall bearing the stamped image of a raven's head, pontil mark in center of base.
